Collaboration & Partnership
Collaboration and partnerships are core to effective delivery in the modern world. It is critical to to identify partners who share your values and complement your efforts. Working well together goes beyond warm words, however, and requires strong management and robust agreements. How are your partnerships going?
From identifying potential partners and potential competitors to forming consortia and managing partnerships, I’ve managed through the whole life-cycle.
My experiences include:
Overseeing the development of four consortia in a single weekend to bid for new funding opportunities.
Development of cooperation agreements between global affiliates.
Overseeing the consortium development for a EUR43m project across 7 countries with 4 international partners.
Co-developing a risk-based “passporting” approach for partner due diligence assessments.
-
Understanding the strategic landscape for opportunities: identifying potential collaborators and understanding potential competitors.
-
Leading on both the relational and the formal elements of consortium building.
-
Delivering through consortia and ensuring healthy ongoing relationships
-
Understanding potential partners’ strengths and weaknesses, and where appropriate, identifying risk mitigations and/or capability building approaches/
-
Developing Memorandums of Understanding/Memorandums of Agreement to govern partnerships
