Let me introduce myself…

My name is Richard Fillingham, I’m based in the Northwest of England (near Preston and Manchester) and I provide a wide range of professional services to charities and their talented leaders.

My twin passions are:

  • supporting purpose-driven organisations to maximise their impact for the benefit of the most marginalised people; and

  • unlocking the potential of talented people so that they can benefit the world.

I have had an extremely varied career…

I am an experienced International Development leader; having led complex global matrix teams at the intersection of programming, fundraising and advocacy for a large INGO.

I am also a graduate of the UK Government's Technology in Business Fast Stream programme. I worked for multiple government departments which gave me an excellent grounding in strategic management, programme delivery, and how to harness disruptive technology to get things done in complex environments.

Oh… and I was a nuclear physicist for a while too!

I love bringing people together to collaboratively solve real problems, drawing on my extensive professional experiences and well-honed analytical skills. The world is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous and I thrive in these conditions.

I’m also trustee of several charities, the safeguarding officer for my church and volunteer with Cranfield Trust to provide pro-bono management consultancy services to charities.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and our two wonderful daughters. I particularly enjoy travel, playing German-style board games, landscape photography and watching Scandinavian dramas.

Please do check out my services and lets have a chat about how i can support you or your organisation to thrive.
