International Team Leadership
They say, “if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together”. It is true… any impactful objective is going to require working together in a team. But team work is not easy, doesn’t just happen, and is fuelled by creative and constructive conflict.
I have led global matrix, line and virtual teams of upto 50 staff through both stable times and change. I have supported teams to move beyond the legacy of old changes whose impacts still lingered and to positively engage with new change processes.
My experience includes:
Leading the merger of three teams into a single coherent unit;
Forming inter-organisational virtual project teams;
Leading representatives from 26 functional areas to develop a significant UK-Government funding bid.
Leading 50 people to bid for a government framework contract.
Resolving conflict between matrix and line staff.
Leading within a 3-tier matrix structure.
Resetting collaboration with an international affiliate.
